TEHACHAPI -- Sean Finley rushed for 268 yards and four touchdowns, and Tehachapi High ran away from Paraclete with touchdowns on its final three possessions in a 41-21 non-league win over the Southern Section Division XII school.
Finley scored on runs of 31, 72 and 3 yards in the first half and romped 19 yards for a score in the fourth quarter.
The Warriors (1-1) erased a 6-0 first-quarter deficit when Finley ran 31 yards to cap a 62-yard drive. Finley gained 61 of the 62 yards, all on the ground.
A shanked punt gave Tehachapi a short field earlier in the second quarter and Dan Haycock capped a 32-yard drive with a 3-yard run. Finley's 72 yard run in the second quarter extended the Warriors lead to 21-6.
Paraclete (0-3) closed the gap when Jonathan Lewis ran 11 yards to open the second-half scoring, but Tehachapi regained a comfortable cushion when Finley scored from 3 yards out in the third quarter.
