Warriors versus Tulare Western (Tulare)

The Mustangs and Warriors have four times with Tulare Western holding a 3-1 lead in the series. The Mustangs defeated
the Warriors in post season playoff games three consecutive years in 2015, 2016, and 2017.

The only other meeting between the two schools was during the 1960-61 season when the Warriors defeated a very young Tulare Western team 60-13.
The 1960 league champion Warriors were led by Dan Acuna as the senior running back scored 4 TD's.

Tulare Western High School is located in Tulare, CA (pop. 60,000) and is one of three public high schools in the City. The other schools
are Tulare Union and the newest school Mission Oak. Tulare Western opened its doors to students during the 1959-60 school year.

The Mustangs are members of the East Yosemite League along with Tulare Union, Mission Oak, Porterville, Monache (Porterville), and Delano.
All three Tulare high schools share Bob Mathias Stadium as their "home" field. The stadium is located at 755 East Tulare Avenue.

The high school has 1,700 students (2014) and is located in the western part of Tulare. The address for the school is 824 West Maple Avenue.
