Warrior defensive lineman Jacob Meza #55 wrestles down a Viking running back Friday night in Tehachapi.
Meza led the Warriors with 12 defensive tackles and one QB sack. The Warriors won
the game, 49-7, before a delighted homecoming crowd. Tehachapi, 6-2 for the season, now play host to
Golden Valley in a non-league game.

Mountain Football scored on their first seven possessions in the game, moving the ball at will against
West in a 49-7 victory on homecoming night.
Tehachapi (6-2, 3-0 SYML) had a season high 458 all-purpose yards and 401 total offensive yards in the blowout.
Scoring rushing touchdowns for the Warriors were Roland Pina, Wade Brooks, Tylere Lombardi and Cayden King,
who collectively amassed 205 yards on the ground. Lombardi and King had the longest runs from scrimmage
in the contest, with their touchdowns coming on runs of 57 and 65 yards, respectively in the second half.
Colton Michael also had an impressive outing at quarterback, firing seven completions for 121 yards
and a pair of 15-yard touchdowns to Cyler Hoofard and Andrew Aguirre. Anthony Cerbantez
also had a 26-yard completion at quarterback on the first play of the game and added two catches
for 50 yards. Aguirre finished the evening as the leading receiver with three receptions for 58 yards.
Thaddeus Dyer and Brooks also had 12-yard receptions.
On defense, Jacob Meza had a standout game with 12 tackles, a sack and a fumble caused. Other leaders
included Mason Rothermel (seven tackles), Aguirre (seven tackles), Tristan Smith (six tackles, interception return for
a touchdown, fumble recovery), Hayden Michael (five tackles), Ethan Cardenas (five tackles), Leo Gonzalez (four tackles,
three hurries), Ruben Sedano (four tackles), Liddon Scott (four tackles) and Kenny Pitt (fumble recovery).
Carson Rolow, Noah Welton, Gabriel Perez and Alex Leon also contributed with three tackles each.
The top highlight on defense came just before halftime when Smith returned an interception 57 yards for
a touchdown, giving the Warriors a commanding 35-0 lead heading into the locker room.
On special teams, ace kicker Carter Kolesar was a perfect seven-for-seven on extra point attempts
and averaged 55.3 yards on kickoffs.
Tehachapi will be in action again at home this Friday night in non-league game against Golden Valley.
Kickoff will be at 7:30 p.m. at Coy Burnett Stadium.
Junior Varsity remains undefeated in league with win
Tehachapi (4-3-1, 3-0 SYML) recorded 431 offensive yards in a dominating 49-7 victory over West
last Friday afternoon.
For the first time this season, the Warriors had two rushers eclipse 100-yards rushing in a single game,
with Kyle Shipp recording 118 yards and Jorge Garcia adding in 112 yards.
Both runners also had touchdowns on the ground. Overall, Shipp lead the team with 189 all-purpose yards.
Austin Rolow also recorded a rushing touchdown on Tehachapi’s first drive of the game and Connor Craig
had 46 yards rushing.
Through the air, Conner Jenkins had four completions for 89 yards and three touchdowns and had 121
total yards (32 yards rushing). Vandon Villanueva also spent time at quarterback and had a
completion that went for a touchdown.
Receiving, Carson Snell had three receptions for 53 yards and two touchdowns and Julian Navarro
and Shipp also had touchdown receptions.
On defense, Isaiah Bachara led the team with six tackles, followed by Lasa Hemphill (five tackles),
John Aguirre (four tackles), Will Larsen (four tackles) and Alexzander Arredondo (four tackles).
Caiden Ferguson, Peyton Popejoy and Kane Harding added in three tackles, each.
Collin Chapman and Shipp also converged on a fumble recovery and Rolow also had a fumble recovery
and two fumbles caused.
On special teams, Andrew Campos was successful on five point-after-attempts and Rolow hauled
in a two-point reception from Ferguson.

The Warriors collected 401 offensive yards and scored five first-half touchdowns in a homecoming game
victory over the Vikings.
Tehachapi (6-2, 3-0 SYML) had 254 rushing yards in the contest, with Roland Pina, Wade Brooks,
Tylere Lombardi and Cayden King all scoring touchdowns on the ground. King and Lombardib
combined for 139 yards rushing to lead the team.
Quarterback Colton Michael had seven completions for 121 yards and two touchdown passes, both for
15-yards, with the first to Cyler Hoofard and the second to Andrew Aguirre.
Aguirre was the leading receiver in the game with 58 yards on three receptions and Anthony
Cerbantes had two catches for 50 yards.

Mason Rothermel and Aguirre with seven tackles apiece. Tristan Smith also had six tackles,
a fumble recovery and a 57-yard interception return for a touchdown just before halftime.
West (3-5, 0-2) scored in the fourth quarter when Lorenzo Vasquez hauled in a 21-yard touchdown
reception from quarterback Elias Gurrola.
Gurrola finished the contest with four completions for 97 yards and Vasquez had three receptions
for 80 yards. Isaac Ramirez also had 51 yards rushing.
