AWARDS
Most Valuable Player: Kevin Garnett
Only needs to match last year.
Rookie of the Year: Emeka Okafor
Should average 13 and 11, good FG%.
Defensive Player of the Year: Ben Wallace
Piston's D was ridiculous after the 'Sheed trade, and Ben will get the credit when it's done over the whole season.
Coach of the Year: Jerry Sloan
They'll improve a few games with twice the talent, but it'll get lauded as a huge success.
Most Improved Player: Michael Sweetney
Should have Kurt Thomas' job in a month or two, could do 14 and 12. I could also go with Dan Gadzuric, Marquis Daniels or Memhet Okur here - depends on who gets the biggest jump in minutes. Al Harrington WILL NOT WIN THIS.
Sixth Man Award: Matt Harpring
Should get 15 ppg off the bench. I'd consider Steven Jackson, but he'll probably wind up starting most the season.
All NBA Teams:
-First Team: Shaquille O'Neal, Kevin Garnett, Tim Duncan, Kobe Bryant, Tracy McGrady
-Second Team: Yao Ming, Jermaine O'Neal, Dirk Nowitzki, Baron Davis, Lebron James
-Third Team: Ben Wallace, Chris Webber, Elton Brand, Ray Allen, Jason Kidd
All-Defense Teams:
-First Team: Ben Wallace, Kevin Garnett, Ron Artest, Kobe Bryant, Bruce Bowen
-Second Team: Tim Duncan, Andrei Kirlienko, Tayshaun Prince, James Posey, Doug Christie
Though in a perfect world Prince would be DPOY, not second team.
All-Rookie Teams:
-First Team: Emeka Okafor, Al Jefferson, Nick Collison, Ben Gordon, Devin Harris
-Second Team: Dwight Howard, Andres Nocioni, Luke Jackson, Jameer Nelson, JR Smith
Keep an eye on Jefferson - cut straight from the Brand/Boozer/Randolph mold. This is also a crapshoot to judge/
