My nickname on the net, as well as in real life is Vivid. I am 31 years of age and live in Michigan. I didn't always live here due to the fact that I was born and raised in Germany. I have been living in MI for almost 10 years now and I feel "home" here even though I still miss my family. Now of course you would like to know what I am doing here in the U.S.A!? Well, I met this really cute GI in Germany that looked at me and gave me that certain smile...of course we fell in love and now we have been married for almost 10 years! How romantic .... Anyway, I also have two cats that I love dearly. My calico cat's name is Kiki . She is almost 10 years old now and has beautiful green eyes. And there is also Saphy (short for Sapphire). She is now a 8 year old Siamese with, of course, Sapphire blue eyes. They are a lot of fun, but in the summertime I really wish I could shave them so they wouldn't leave all their fur behind.... I worked for a grocery store as a cake decorator and baker. I loved the cake decorating job ..being creative..cheerful colors around me ...and tasty cake....hmmmm wonderland .... I worked for this company ever since I came to the US. Feelt like we were a family there =) ..
After working at the above job for such a long time I felt the need to start a career and educate myself further. I applied at a Fluid Handling Systems plant and got a job as a machine operator. It was not quite my goal to work in a shop, but this company had awesome benefits. I worked there as a machine operator on third shift for a couple of months. Fortunately for me, this company was in need of a Front Desk Coordinator. The job was up for bid and I was chosen out of 6 applicants. So now I have been working as an Administrative Assistant for quite some time now and I love it very much. I work in various fields for the plant including Engineering, Quality, Production Control and of course Administration. My co-workers call me the "Visual Eye of ITT Industries" since I create a lot of images and graphics with a digital camera that I neatly wrap up as a Visual Aid for our Team Members. In August of 2001 I was selected to join the Engineering Department at ITT Industries and now hold the title as Engineering Assistant. I will be getting to know AutoCAD as well as Solid Works 3D drawings. I am very excited about this move and see a great future for myself with this company. Check it out right here: ITT Industries
As a hobby I like to create Web Sites...From scratch of course, meaning "pure HTML"...No program needed...Notepad ONLY!!!>>.It gives me a thrill to write it all myself...So far I am working on 2 different pages..(let me tell you ..they are NEVER done..WoooHooo)...The first one you are looking at right now...The second one is Zoltar's Hole in the Wall. My hubby's page with his "Top 25 favorite CD's"..Not quite finished yet..But working away on it...My dream is to be a Graphic Designer someday. What do you think?..Could I scratch it?...Well, I have full confidence in myself..."Go for the GOALS and DREAMS in life" is top priority!
I admire art a lot ..my favorite painters are Dahli, Escher, Nagel and Warhol..I also love Boris Vallejo...and my brother in laws art..especially the Kurt Cobain he drew. =:o) .....I just tinker with airbrush on my cakes myself..do little artzy things (check out my ART page:ViViD Art) and some crafts and I love to decorate my house and watch the moon for hours...!.!
Oh yeah..did I tell you already that I drive a wonderful car? I am driving a spiffy '02 Saturn Coupe. .I try to keep it as clean as I can, but with about a half of a mile pothole heaven dirt road, it is hard to do...Before this Saturn I drove a another ’98 Saturn Sedan and my fist American vehicle was a '89 Buick Riviera..if you know cars you know that's quite a change..From a V8 to a 4 Cylinder, but with the Saturn I got the 16 Valve motor..so I can give some gas in a hurry with my little vivid mobile..so if ya see me driving around, please wave. Saturnarians are very friendly! =:o)
On August 20th, 2003 my husband and I purchased our fist piece of property and house. We are looking forward to spend lots of time in our new home and start a new life cycle. Thank you for having me America. I will keep you up with pictures and stories in the future. For now you may see the house as we purchased it.
