Historic, beautiful Canton Lutheran Church, Canton, SD, built 1909, the year of Alfred Stadem and Bergit's youngest daughter Pearl's birth year, where the young Alfred Stadem Family worshiped God and served until moving to Bryant, SD. Also, CLC was Augustana Academy's home church. So come, let us go into the Lord's holy house, which He said is a House of Prayer!

What a haven of peace it is! It is a shelter from the storm of life! Here you are absolutely safe, protected, and loved! Here you can be brought into the Lord's best for you. Here no one will laugh or smile at your need or your requests. All we need to do is become His children. That has been made so easy for us. With our heart's mind (not our head mind) we can apprehend God in all His majesty and love and grace and mercy. If we but believe with our heart, and ask for Him to come into our hearts and forgive our sins, He will immediately do so! And everything we ask according to His will (His foreordained best for us) will be granted. His word in the Bible promises this. He is able to answer all our requests, no matter how large. For:

Behold, the Lord's hand is not shortened,

that it cannot save,

neither His ear heavy,

that it cannot hear.(Isaiah 59:1)

OUR LORD IS ALMIGHTY, A SAVING REFUGE, NO MATTER HOW GREAT OR HOW MANY THE STORMS OF LIFE YOU'RE FACING...

LET US JOIN THEM IN PRAYING FOR YOU!

It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed,

because his compassions fail not,

they are new every morning,

great is Thy faithfulness. (Lam. 3:22,23)

PLEASE MAKE YOUR PRAYER REQUEST KNOWN. NO MAN, NO WOMAN, NO CHILD, IS AN ISLAND. WE HAVE THE GRACE-GIVEN RIGHT AS SONS AND DAUGHTERS OF GOD TO SEEK GOD AT THE MERCY-SEAT TOGETHER. THIS RIGHT WAS WON BY CHRIST'S OWN SACRIFICE OF HIMSELF AS THE LAMB OF GOD, SLAIN FROM BEFORE THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD (THAT IS, FOREORDAINED, GOD COMMITING HIMSELF TO ENDURE AND SUFFER DEATH ON THE CROSS FOR OUR SAKES, LONG BEFORE THE WORLD EVEN EXISTED!)

THE LORD JESUS'S MINISTRY OF PREACHING THE GOOD NEWS AND COMPASSION AND HEALING AND DELIVERANCE HAS BEEN GIVEN TO HIS CHILDREN TO CARRY OUT ON EARTH IS EXPRESSED IN THIS SCRIPTURE FROM THE BOOK OF ISAIAH:

The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord...to comfort all that mourn; to appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified. (Isaiah 61:1-2, 3)

SHE HAS SINCE PAGE GONE TO GLORY, PRAISE GOD, AT THE RIPE AGE OF 101, STILL PRAYING AND INTERCEEDING FOR PEOPLE IN NEED, BUT WE HER INHERITORS WILL PRAY, FOR I HAVE PRAYER PARTNERS I REGULARLY CALL UPON TO PRAY FOR CERTAIN NEEDS OF PEOPLE.

THIS TIME FOR PRAYING IS DRAWING TO A RAPID CLOSE. OUR ENTIRE NATION IS IN A STATE OF CRISIS AND CRUMBLING AWAY. WE ARE FALLEN DEEP IN THE VALLEY OF DECISION FOR ALL NATIONS AND PEOPLES. TIME IS RUNNING OUT, THE LORD SAYS TO HIS PEOPLE. THE LORD IS PASSING BY, AND HE IS LOOKING TO THOSE WHO SEEK HIM WITH ALL THEIR MINDS, HEARTS, AND STRENGTH. [THIS WAS WRITTEN BEFORE SEPT. 11'S TRAGIC EVENTS, BUT THE STATEMENT IS NOW ALL THE MORE PERTINENT IN LIGHT OF WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO OUR NATION. THE CATASTROPHE HAS SERVED TREMENDOUSLY TO WAKE US ALL UP, NOT MERELY TO THE PERIL OF TERRORISM, BUT TO THE NEED TO RETURN TO GOD OUR ONLY TRUE, UNFAILING REFUGE AND PROTECTOR.]
