"Locomotive Mover" nicknamed "The Bug".
The Bug is one of only four units built by New York Central using a Blombreg truck with rechargeable batteries mounted on top of a custom built frame over the truck. Its operated by a long tether line with a control box.
"The Bug" was originally used at Selkirk, NY Yard to move locomotives in and out of their shop. It was transferred to Conway Yard during the end of the Conrail era. Due to the round house tracks at Conway being on a slant away from the turntable to prevent engines from rolling into the turntable pit, "The Bug" just did not have the traction to pull a dead engine out of the roundhouse stall and on to the turntable. It saw limited use at Conway and was donated to the BVJC in May of 2000.

The BVJC acquired a former Monongahela Railways Fairmont track car (Speeder Car) from the family of a former MGA Superintendent. The MGA employee was given the Speeder Car as a gift upon retiring from the railroad.
With about a years worth of work to restore the Speeder it is now operational once again and members and guests can experience the thrill of zipping along the rails.

In February of 2002 BVJC saved a Rail Bus from a scrap dealer in New Brighton PA.
Built by Brookville Locomotive Works in 1940, the rail bus was used by the US Army. Many of these four axle vehicles were used over seas during World War II to rebuild rail lines in Europe.
The rail bus has a four cylinder engine, a crew compartment that will hold six to eight people, and a tool compartment in the rear of the vehicle. The BVJC plans on restoring this rare piece of equipment as time and funding allows.
The three photos below include a photo-retouched picture of the Brookville Builders Photo.
