Scooter was a siberian dwarf hamster. The day Shannon got her (July 1, 2000) they were driving home and Shannon was petting her and Scooter bit her. Her favorite food was sunflower seeds, so she would put a trail of them through a maze of legos down the right path and she'd put a big pile of them at the end. When she was younger she liked to run around in her ball and she always ate in her running wheel, so all the sunflower seed shells would make a bunch of noise when she ran in it.
One time Ruth was over and Scooter bit Shannon so she put her away in a little box, she doesn't know why, but she forgot about her until six hours later and her mom was furious! Another time, Michaela was over, and some slimy white stuff came out of Scooter while she was holding her and it was really gross.
Shannon had a series of short tapes she called "SCOOTER CAM" and it was really fun making those. Scooter had a cyst on one side of her belly, but Shannon doesn't think that's what he died from because it didn't burst or anything, so it must have been internal. In Febuary Scooter got really sick and Shan thought she was gonna die, but she was better the next day. She was shaking and bobbing her head, but her eyes were closed and there was white stuff around them. Not long afterwards she would get on top of her plastic "hut" and jump off of it. It really scared Shan cuz of her cyst she'd land off balance, but then she'd go and do it again. Only she'd jump really high, like a jumping bean. Scooter died Tuesday night, March 26, 2002. She was buried in Shannon's backyard in a heart-shaped tin. She was around a year and 9 months old.
