Back in the winter of 2000, I grew a gotee and made a video using the song "I Like It, I Love It" by Tim McGraw.
The film begins with a shot of Mark McGraw from the rear. He begins to play his guitar and dance and sing.
The video also starred Darla as his cowgirl girlfriend. In one scene, McGraw is seated on the couch. In the next, Darla sits at the opposite end and jumps at McGraw.
In the next scene, he is covered with lipstick kisses. I had my wife put on a lot of lipstick and kiss me all over the face and neck for this scene. It was a lot of fun.
I LIKE IT, I LOVE ITI WANT SOME MORE OF IT
We had our first company picnic at Sykes in June 2000 at a local park. There was a live band and they had Karaoke available. I grew a gotee for the event and brought my cowboy hat and sunglasses and sang "I Like It, I Love It" there at the park in front of my co-workers. I had sang in church, but had never performed in a public place until this. I had a lot of fun with it and everyone said I did a good job. One of my co-workers even told me that I had missed my calling and should have been a country singer.
It had been almost a year since the company picnic 2000, and I still wore a gotee (except for when I had to shave it off for one of my videos). One of my friends at work, Chris Stanton, brought his cowboy hat and I tried it on and had a couple of pictures taken for my Mark McGraw character.
