I was nominated to be on the Fun Committee at work for the summer of 2003.

For our first project we dressed up western style and went to the hospital.

Our annual company picnic this year had a western theme and we had a couple of boxes of cowboy hats left over.

We visited the patients, giving the hats away to the children and even the adults.

Everyone seemed to appreciate what we did.

We made a lot of people smile that day and had a great time.

It felt good to make so many people happy.

There were a lot of older people who were ill and in a lot of pain, and they it made them happy to see someone there who cared enough to visit.

The floor manager led us around to the different rooms.

She was a big help and introduced us to the nurses and staff.

Becky Bartley, Teresa MacDonald and Patricia Howell showed up for this project.

We took some pictures and submitted one to the local paper.
