Here are some pictures of my gecko tank. The tank itself is
a 20 gallon long. For substrate I have brown ZooMed Repti Cage Carpeting. The dome light fixture has a 60 watt black
bulb for heat. The other light has a 40 watt flourescent bulb to simulate daylight. Both lights are on
a timer set for twelve hours of daylight and 12 hours of night. I also have an undertank heating pad
which is on all the time. The humid hide is the round terra-cotta
pot on the hot side (left). Inside there are moist paper towels which I mist daily. The dry hide is the half log on the right side of the terrarium. There is a
small piece of the background cut and taped on the outside glass over one side of the half-log. This is
so the gecko can feel hidden and secure, but I can lift it up and look if I want to see him when he's
sleeping. I have several pieces of driftwood I found at the the beach (all driftwood was boiled before placed in the tank).
My gecko loves climbing on it. Notice the shallow water dish and the dish with calcium powder in it. This is an
example of an enclousure for a leopard gecko with all the needed accessories.
