The experimentation with.......... ick!! colour continues. The series 2 experiments are to do with using the paint to create some real detail. This hybrid picture is heavily influenced by Steph Law and the observant among you will recognise that I have 'pinched', among other things, Steph's mushrooms LOL Because of the concentration on the background both in terms of delicate washes and detail, I suppose the subject of the piece didn't get the required level of attention. I am still firmly on the 'learning curve' with the paint, but I am coming to like my 'Splosh'n'Skribble' technique more and more. Other experiments (not shown here) have proved to me that I will never master any level of detail using the paint alone. |
