The first half of 2006 really had my time taken up with "other things" which are not for the squeamish and not for publication here LOL. Although I had occasional bouts of nagging from my muse, she did in fact spend a lot of time sleeping from January to May........ My lazy, procrastinating artistic backside needed a hefty boot to get it kickstarted back into creativity and this materialised in late May by the arrival of the latest Royo for the bookshelf, I am not ashamed to state that many of the images contained within Subversive Beauty have brought me to tears....... the effect on my "I wanna do that" synapses was both dramatic and immediate.
Luckily all this creative energy coincided with some enforced incarceration in the south of England where I was on a cider tasting trip with no internet and little contact with the outside world. I developed quite a synchronisation with a bottle of Southern Comfort in one hand and a glass of ice-cold dry cider in the other LOL .......This wonderful combination and alco-infusion, coupled with much napping left me with just enough time to lay graphite on paper. Hopefully I'll keep the momentum going and we'll see some more serious skribbling through what remains of 2006.
