If you are interested in hunting wild pheasants in their natural environment, this hunt is for you. This is not a preserve offering pen raised birds. We will be hunting wild pheasants.
We will be hunting on more than 6,000 acres of private farm land in the Winner and Gregory area of South Central South Dakota. To insure a safe and personal hunt, hunting parties will consist of five to eight people. We will hunt on different land each day. There are many types of cover to insure quality hunts, no matter what part of the season you decide to come.
The wild pheasant population in this area is excellent. I have enjoyed pheasant hunting for more than 25 years, and have hunted in many states. I learned to hunt pheasants in this part of South Dakota and have never found any better hunting. I will show you lots of birds and the best way to hunt them.
I am offering three day hunts, but longer hunts can be arranged. The South Dakota pheasant hunting season generally runs from mid October through December. You will have ample opportunity to bag your limit, whether it's opening weekend or the last weekend of the season. This is my 7th year in business and I book early with returning clients. I take a limited number of new hunters each year, so book early.
The cost of the three day pheasant hunt is $600 per person. This price does not include meals or lodging. I can assist you with your lodging arrangements. The cost of your lodging will be approximately $30 per person per night. There are several lodging options available including several hotels, furnished houses in town, as well as furnished houses in the country.
I am also offering limited Black Hills turkey hunting. There are both Spring and Fall hunts available. These hunts will take place near Hot Springs, South Dakota. This is a great hunt with the opportunity to tour the beautiful Black Hills at the same time. This hunt can be set up to include a bed and breakfast.
