Phoebe Halliwell returns to San Francisco after losing her job to live with her older sisters, Prue and Piper. During their first night together in their grandmother's house, Phoebe finds a book of witch craft and recites an incantation that leaves the sisters three with powers they were destined to have. As they begin discovering their new abilities, a warlock that has been killing local witches, targets the sisters.

Fortunately for the Halliwells, Phoebe's power enables her to sense the time loop as deja vu. But unfortunately for Andy, she sees his death at the hand of a warlock in a premonition.
