The Name says it all. For anyone who wanted to join us and missed this run you missed a run of a lifetime It was and " test your driveing skills weekend" There was TONS of MUD and Slick BIG ROCKS and Lots of stucks on Sat there was 3 of us Myself Razor Ranger Mustang and his wife and daughter. and Today there were about 12 of us out on the trail ( Not all Fords) Sat we took it easy because It was DRY AND HOT and the Bugs were BAD.. It was so dry and dusty you couldnt even see were you were going along the powerline. and I could see Razor just thinking So much for the Mud.. LOL ( But i found some for him and he got barried. Mustang and his 4x2 Off-Road Ranger thats one well built 2wheel drive Ranger he crawled over some rocks in his Locked 2wheel drive that i was haveing problems doing in 2wheel drive with the limited slip The (2) Trails we drove today made the trip up well worth it. It rained a bit dureing the night and then poured for abouts 20 minutes dureing the mourning. We met up with Al from North Hastings 4wheel drive club ( a club i belong to) and he took us out to a trail called Stair way to Hell and the name says it all this entire trail is no longer then 1/4 mile and it took the 3 guys that made it threw this 1/4 trail approx 2.5 hrs to complete i couldnt do it nor Razor and Mustang just kept his 2wheel drive back at camp. me and Razor and a few others had to turn around and back out off this trail because you needed to be Locked and geared front and rear with Boggers or you were not going anywhere for the ppl at wellsvilleremmeber thatwashout? well the part were we had to back out of were just like that with 2 big slabs of slick muddy rock in the muddle But going up not down. The next trail we drove on was called 5 Grand Hill at first 5 of use drove in and it looked just like flat ground with a few rocks poping out here and there.. before i could even say anything about this trail I was barried up to the Fram with a good rock under the front diff and one right under the Fram /T-case and i was not going anywhere. Its really hard to explain how this trail was you just gotta take a look at some pictures Razor and Mustang Both took ALLOT of pictures and he will probably have a few up tomouro i took 24 and wont beable to get them up for about a week ( wish i had a digital camera).. up in Madoc they have trails for everyone if your into Rocks there tons of Rocks if your into Bottomless pit mud holes there are plenty of them also theres a bit of everything for everyone.. The second trail we drove on today id say you could walk this entire trail in a good 15 minutes But buy truck with 5 of use down there it took us from 1.30 to 5.30 pm to drive in and back out. I had a Great weekend myself and i believe Razor and mustang and his wife and daughter had a great time as well They drove all the way up from Buffalo which took them 6.5 hours from the trails we were on today Myself it took me 5 hrs so it wasnt so bad But trying to drive without a drivers side mirror in bussy traffic is a pain .. My total Damage for the weekend was Snapped off drivers side mirror Broken cb atenna and MAJOR pin stripes Dented mangaled up t-case skid plate and gas tank skid plate. rear bumper crunched and front headlight pulled out a good 1" and i'll see if there is anything else after the mud is washed off tomouro Madoc on Sat was in the 30's ( HOT) and when i arrived home tonight at 11pm it was almost snowing ( you can see your breath) But ya there was No Major Break downs on the way down or back home so that was Great. Razor had a good oil leak ( comeing from Front main seal) but i guess the mud clogged it up because it stopped. Thanks for the Great weekend guys hopefully we will get a better show for next years outting..
