Passive Resistance is a peace/punk band from Bakersfield, CA, they say their influences are Filth, Crass, Conflict and Gauze. These guys go insane, with their lyrics about animal rights and anarchy they have just the right energy mix on stage. They cover some great songs too, one of my personal favorites is "Big Hands" by Crass, they cover this song perfectly as it fits their brand of energy. These guys are by far the best local band ever to grace the Bakersfield scene. Their shows have a ton of audience involvement, everyone has a great time. The guitar shreds and the lyrics are pure hardcore screaming, at the last show I saw them at the drummer actually passed out from exaustion afterwards. They have a good message, they are pasifists and vegetarians, they support oganization like food not bombs and many do many other good deeds. If hear Passive Resistance once you'll never stop wanting to hear them. Go see Passive Resistance and make sure to sing and dance or you'll piss Tim off.
