Good news folks! This movie is about to release. SCREEN MAGAZINE reports:

Sridevi is all set to make a comeback at the box-office, with the long-delayed movie, Meri Biwi Ka Jawab Nahin, which has now been revived. A remake of the Vijaya Shanti, Suman starrer, Mondi Mogudu Penki Pellam (Telugu), the film also stars Akshay Kumar and Anupam Kher. The last schedule for the film, which is to be released on October 6, has already started. The shooting is being held at Ramoji Film City.

Remember that movie called Meri Biwi Ka Jawab Nahin? Well, its been in the production stage for the last 5 years! However, it WILL be released. Sridevi and her co-star Akshay Kumar are both putting in their effort to finish this movie. The director is Pankaj Parashar and it is a remake of the Telugu superhit Moondi Mogudu Penki Pellam. There is one problem though. The movie is dated. It has been in the production stage for too long. Will the audience accept it? Hopefully, because the movie is being 85% reshot. This will work in favor of the movie since 15% of the movie will take place in a different time frame and the other 85% will take place in the present! The movie is said to be a comedy, with Akshay Kumar acting as a police officer. MBKJN is 75% reshot and three songs have been added to the soundtrack! Release date is around Fall of '00. Another shooting schedule has been arranged for June. However, according to British India Talkies, it may release this summer.

No new news on this. Sridevi should quickly do her guest appearance in this film. Therefore, she wouldn't delay this film. Though I do not think the film will be delayed because of Sridevi.

Sridevi and Sunny Deol are making a guest appearance in Yeh Raaste Hain Pyar Ke starring Madhuri Dixit, Ajay Devgan, and Preity Zinta. Deepak Shivadasani is the director of this movie. The movie has not started shooting, but will soon.

The latest is that Sridevi is still out of this film, and Kajol has bagged it. Indiatalkies.com reports that the shooting for this movie (with Kajol) begins this August. Sridevi's new baby is due near November.

My sources indicate that there WILL BE a film directed by Krishna Vamsi produced by Boney Kapoor. It will be a Telugu remake. Her comeback film will have her as the central theme (but naturally) and not one, but thrice heroes opposite the ROOP KI RANI SRIDEVI. This film may be sold to Subhash Ghai, and Satish Kaushik may direct it. Ismail Darbar is doing the music, and Naseerudin Shah is playing an important role. Heroes are unkown to date, and the heroes do not have a negative role.

Industry insiders are eagerly awaiting word on the next Yash Chopra-directed film, which he has claimed will "be the best film I ever direct". It will likely be his last directorial effort and he is said to have signed his favorite Sridevi for the lead role. As per the content, one can only guess! Manisha Koirala may also be in Yash Chopra's last directed venture.

Aishwariya Rai and Karishma Kapoor may be current box office queens with the richest haul of film offers, but it seems our former Bollywood queen Sridevi has her own share of interesting offers. At a recent launch of the pre-trials of the Cannes Film Festival (where Kamal Hassan's Hey Ram opened to a heartening response) it was revealed that acclaimed European director Bruno Dumont (who just so happened to claim Cannes Grand Prize 1999 for L'Humanite) revealed that his next film would trace the journey of gypsies from Spain to Asia and that he had offered the lead to none other than India's acting queen, Sridevi! Of course, with Sri nestled so comfortably in Bollywood where she is busy grooming stars like Esha Deol, it will be interesting to see if she accepts. The last time she was offered an international film she had to reciprocate the offer with a polite "No, thank you" but her commitments are far less as of now. And with her list of rejects piling up at home -she has nixed the upcoming films of Subhash Ghai, Karan Johar, and Raj Santoshi - it would be a natural step for her toward furthering her acting repertoire. One of the considerations she will have to make is that she will have to learn the dialects of Arabic and Romanian (root languages of gypsy dialects) if she does accept. Understandably, she will take her time before making any final decisions. And they said marriage would be the end of her career. Not bad for an actress who once had Steven Spielberg waiting for a commitment . . .

Did you ever want to see Sridevi act opposite Aamir Khan? Wouldn't it be simply mind-blowing to watch such great actors in the same movie? I think so. I am hoping that this movie is not just a rumor. As most of us know, Aamir Khan has always admired Sridevi because of her talent. He would like to make a movie with her. My sources tell me that this may be true. The name of the movie has been identified as "Ishq Mein", which would be a remake of the American movie "Summer of '42." The American movie is about a man falling in love with an older woman. Preity Zinta has been identified as one of the other co-stars. I do not know whether this is true or not, but I am hopeful. It has been stated that the director is Mansoor Khan. She will be doing Aamir Khan's ISHQ MEIN next Diwali. The "Summer of '42" remake with Aamir Khan and another heroine has gone into pre-production. It might be called "Pyar Ke Liye" and Aamir will start working on it after Lagaan and other projects are complete. Shankar Eeshan Loy will compose the music while the other heroine is being considered. Preity Zinta will most likely essay the other role. Sri is to have an extended guest appearance, but the role is said to be powerful and will leave a major impact.

Let's wait a little longer and get more information on this film. Some say it WILL happen, others say it is being delayed, and not just because of Sridevi's pregnancy. The problem is that actor, Chiranjeevi, may not have dates available. Let's wait and see what happens. The good news is that Sridevi will most likely HAVE to do this film because she is bound by contract...

Her role in Sippay is supposed to be very good, I don't know what she will be doing but I know the film is supposed to be a spy thriller and Chiranjeevi and Sridevi are the centre of the plot! IT'S A DEFINITE PROJECT GUNASHEKUR IS THE DIRECTOR STARTING IN MAY 2000. The film is a Tamil movie, but will be dubbed in Telugu and Hindi. In Screen magazine a couple of months back, they said that Chiranjeevi is playing a spy and Sri is playing a criminal! Sippay is always getting delayed, but shooting has been confirmed to start next summer! A schedule in Italy has been arranged in July. Sippay will release by next diwali, in HINDI! Sri plays a bank robber who ends up being framed for a murder during one of her robbings. Chiranjeevi play a playboy spy who is hot on her trail but he doesn't know who she is. They fall in love but when Sri finds out he is a spy she tries to break it off, and he keeps on getting closer to identifying her as the bank robber. Rehamn has composed six songs with a modern feel and two more love songs are to be included in the hindi remake! Rehamn is supposed to have given amazing music! There was some shooting done on sippay earlier this year. However, it was stopped. Most likely it will continue this summer in Italy.
