Concert Review

This review is somewhat disturbing due to the fact that the teenage author of it is so in love with Britney Spears...it's just sad.

Rosemont, IL
In my life, I'd like to think I've done lots of cool stuff, and I have. But the best day in my life was going to the Britney Spears concert. Seeing her was amazing. My day started off at 2:00 pm, when I left for the concert. Since I'm 15, my dad drove me and went to the concert with me. We had to drive 3 1/2 hours or so to Rosemont, since I live in Wisconsin, just outside of Madison. We arrived at the venue at 5:30. We had lunches, so we sat in a grassy part along the parking lots eating. Half way through, we say this tour bus pulled up. All these little kiddies and one camera guy ran up. I was wondering who it was, since it wasn't Brit. I saw these two pretty girls getting off the bus. I liked the redhead one; she looked better off the bus then in the concert, though. Anyways, I found out that this was Steps, an opening act. It was great, though, cause I was standing right besides her for a long time, untill she went back onto the bus. After that, It got pretty boring. So I went and eat and just lounged with my dad. At 6:30 the lines going into the concert were moving, so we got in line and got in. They let us in to buy crap, though, and didn't get into the seating area until 7:00. So I scoped out the merchandise and waited. Finally, they let us in at 7. We found our seats. They weren't too good. They also cost $150 for two tix. But in my mind, I'd pay anything to go, so it was a steal for me. They were at the very end of the floor section in the corner. But since the venue is very small, like less than 5,000 people, every seat was good. Plus we had a perfect view of the backstage door, where with the binculars I could see people coming out from it. I went to buy a program and poster for $25. For y'all planing to go to her concert, programs are $15, posters are $10 and there are posters exclusive to the concert, glowlites for the kids are $5, and there are shirts and stuff, but I didn't get those. Anyways, I sat down and missed the announcer guy. First, was a group PYT. They are 4 girls from ages 12-13 or 14, I think. Anyways, two girls looked good for that young of an age but when they get older they will be stunning. The other two did not. They were average, probably like a C on a grading scale. Then, the shitty people came. Michael Fredo, Mr. I'm Tommy's Cousin and Since he's sponsiring Britney's Concert I can sing no matter what My Talent Level is, came on next. His dancers danced to Wild Wild West and No Scurbs. Then he came on. Everybody was polite to all the guests. But he was the only one to get some boo's. He is talentless, but he makes probably lot's of money. His dancers were getting more cheers than he was. Some girls, probably who have never seen a guy before, cheered when he took his shirt off, which was gross since I'm a guy. Let's end on this-He sucked. Then C-Note came on. They were a typical pop boy band, except they sang worse and did not have the girls hanging on their every word. I give them a D, but Fredo got a F. I'm sorry, but if you like him, you have somewhat of a problem. Anyways, Steps came on. I give them a B. My dad even liked one song, and thought they were good. Coming from my dad, who likes classic rock, is a good compliment. I liked them especially since I saw them on the bus. They are a UK group, so they talked in that cool British accent. The girls were good looking, the guys sang in tune. Hey, pretty dam good for an opening act. They wore these all yellow uniforms, which were good for the girls, because they were "tight fitting." Anyways, we had a 30 minute or so intermision. That was the slowest part. I couldn't wait to see her! Anyways, the next 6 seats were empty. So we moved to those. It was a better seat! We got more of a straight ahead view then before. I also forgot to say this, It was cool! A member of PYT popped out of the backstage to watch steps. I was the only one to see her at first, because I had the binoculars! She was one of the prettier ones, so that was cool. What was cooler was after Steps, she waved on the side of the stage to me, cause this old guy pointed up to me cause I was looking at them with the binoculars, one of few people to bring them. So I waved back to her. She seemed pretty cool. I think she was older, though, because she was flashing some numbers, I think a 1 and a five or four. Maybe 14 years old? Not too sure. Anyways, some kiddies finally saw her and screamed, so she waved to them and she left. I have been complaining bout my seats, but they helped. Looking at people leaving the door, I saw plenty of backstage peeps. But I also saw Britney twice and TJ, her dancer, once. That was cool. I was probably the only one to see it, because you could only see with binoculars who it was. Plus I had the seats. Well, It finally started. The main event. I won't try to repeat what you've heard. They did the school scene thing, with lockers and all. Then she appeared at the top. She is so much more beautiful in person, if you can believe that! She was standing atop the stairs with black shiny leather like pants with some kind of shirt. Of course, she ripped it off to expose the pink tube top. I couldn't stand but to smile and thank god how much beauty he put into her! She also had glitter all over. She then went through some dancing and some songs. She did Crazy and some others. Then she changed into Tommy overalls and a white shirt. Then I watched my dream happen to this guy in front. The dancers pulled him on stage and Britney sang to him. She sat on the steps with him, putting her hand on his leg and looking directly into his eyes, singing the entire time. She got up and walked around, and the guy then got moved off the steps onto stage somewhere else. But, she kept on singing to him. He didn't look to excited, sadly to say. That would be a dream come true for me. So the kid came off, and she did a costume change. She wore this pink dress, really short, above her knees pretty far. Then she started to sing Material Girl, I think. Anyways, she has the best body to ever grace a women. In the dress, it showed a lot of leg. She has powerful, perfect legs. I smiled and stood the entire concert, but my smile got brighter and my standing got taller when I saw her in that. But then I noticed a black thing under the dress. YES! She was going to pull off the dress to expose something else! The pinkdress was all buttoned, showing lots of leg though. But when she finally tore that thing off, I was dumbfounded. She had on this letter one piece dress, as short as the pink dress, but with an extremly large V neck top, it you get what I mean. That was the finest site in my life. She looked truly perfect. Well, she continued to sing, and then did other covers, like Open Arms. You guys know all the songs, so I will not name them. Anyways, she changed again into another outfit, which I can't remember right now. Anyways, she kept on singing. The entire concert I sang along. I could tell who were the fans and who liked her for besides her looks, because the other guys weren't singing along. I think even if you were a guy and liked her, you might know some lyrics besides the popular songs. Anyways, she sang Sometimes and the place went nuts. All the kiddies sang, because they only knew the words to this and BOMT. Then, she left. I've read every concert review on this site, so I knew she'd come back out and so did some of the crowd. I feel sorry for all the idiots who left because they were really stupid. They missed the finale. Britney appeared on the stairs with the school uniform. She had the stockings on so we couldn't see her legs, but get this- I pretty sure only one button was on! You could basically she her entire bust because she doesn't wear a jogging bra but a lace one. It was almost as good as the leather dress. Anyways, she sang it, the crowd going more nuts-o. She sadly then finished. Afterwards, we pretty much left. I didn't want auto's, and Britney leaves immediately. Plus I all ready saw Steps in person. Then we went home and the fairy tale ended. I did have two beefs with the concert, though. 1st the kiddies chanted her name during the other performances. that was pretty damn disrespectful. Also, how do all these yahoos get the backstage passes and meet and greet passes? IT IS PATHETIC! 9 year old girls get them as well as 50 year old men. I was jealous. Real fans like me didn't get them, but people who could care less got them. Oh well. Anyways, Britney doesn't get a grade.....an A+ wouldn't give her justice. She looked, sounded, and was great. She did lip-sync to two songs. They were Sometimes, and BOMT. All the other songs were not, though. You can argue with me, but I was in church choir and band, so I pay attention to stuff like that. Anyways, you all have to see her preform if you have not already. If you have any q's, my email is ThurmanThomas@juno.com All I have to say is this. This was the best day in my live ever, and Britney, I truly love you!
