I'm watching a weird french film in which its neurotic characters are caught in a bizarre love triangle. The husband who screwed around on his wife regularly found out that she was sleeping with "an old dyke". The wife found out about his affairs, kicked him out of the house and asked the dyke to move in. In an attempt to win her back, after a profound discussion with a really old prostitute, he agrees to an odd living arrangement. He and the dyke (I call her that because they barely call her anything but) get to sleep with the wife three days of the week each and on Sundays they all sleep in seperate beds. The children live among them oblivious.

It makes me laugh.

I walked up the stairs in a long skirt earlier and it reminded me of the last good laugh I had with my sister before I came here. They are always the best with her. Laughs I mean.

Robert and I are a strange pair when we walk down the street. He all gothic and tall, taking long steps and me wearing a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles shirt and a wrap skirt, scurrying to keep up.

We went to Frankston today to pick up Souraya's dress (it's gorgeous, but more money than I'd ever consider spending) and looked some op shops where I found a Power Rangers shirt that I don't have yet at a place exactly like Value Village, only with a different name.

This evening I made tea for the family. These Australians had never heard of perogies so with the help of careful and precise instructions from my mom online, I managed to make them some. I had never attempted to make them without Mom or Baba present before, but they turned out alright. They were too big but Robert said he thought them "a good size". Angela helped with the pinching, the best part, but Robert wouldn't get his movie star hands dirty.

Oh yeah, today Robert heard from his agent who tells him that he got a "minor role" in the new Anne Rice novel movie adaptation, "Queen of the Damned", the followup to "Interview With The Vampire" that they're shooting down here. (Neither Brad Pitt nor Tom Cruise are in it.) He's been joking about limos and famous girlfriends all day. ;) He has absolutely no previous acting experience, but answered a casting call for "Melbourne's goth community". He'll be shooting for nine days starting late this month which means he'll be staying in the city then and I won't see him likely. I told him I didn't think it would be a problem. I've been getting closer with the rest of his family. And I'd like to start doing some things on my own anyway. Maybe I'll not even be here while he's gone.

The movie's over. Turns out the lesbian had the husband's baby and the husband found himself a nice little boy toy with awful sideburns. Nice.

Today Shaughn told me there is no time where he loves me. 11:27pm
