Robert doesn't think eating strawberries in the park counts as my onegoodthingaday for Monday. He said "You could do that in Canada anytime!" But he's wrong. It's snowing in Canada.
Today my good things are:
1) that I went into Frankston by myself and didn't get lost
2) I had this great conversation with Robert's dad which convinced me, as if I didn't already know, that I am very welcome here
3) I took three names off my xmas list buying groovy authentically Australian gifts for my daddy, Matthew and Shanda
4) I went into a travel place and ended up talking to this old guy who worked there for over half an hour about things like 7 foot snow drifts in Alaska and his daughter the music teacher (he didn't really help me much, but I had time to talk)
and 5) I bought a green apple for 35 cents and ate it on the way home.
Realizing there is only three weeks left in my trip (it only seems a long time when measured in unfinished iloveyous), I've been looking into some good ways to fill up time. I think I'm making progress, but am on this weird emotional rollercoaster that is sometimes hard to handle.
I feel good now. I feel happy. 11:37pm
