Chapter Two
Bobbie Jean Carter.
"Hi! You must be Anna! I'm BJ! We've been expecting you! It's so totally cool to meet you, finally! I've heard so much about you! Come on in!" babbled BJ, as she invited Anna into the house. BJ has an enthusiastic sweet sense that Anna took to immediately.
"Hi! It's good to meet you too! Mrs. Carter! Hi!", said Anna, as she walked into the house.
Mrs. Carter smiled warmly, "Hey, remember now, It's Jane! Come in and meet the rest of the family!"
Bobbie and Mrs. Carter led Anna into the den, where she was introduced to Robert Carter. Then, she was greeted by Leslie, Aaron, and Angel, who ran to her, as soon as they saw her.
"Annna!!!" screamed Leslie, who immediately recognized her, and reached up to give the older girl a hug, "How are you! It's been so long!"
"I'm fine! How are you, Oh wow! You look great!" Anna cried, "Aaron! Angel! C'mere!"
The twins wrapped their arms around her neck, as she bent down, "Hey! Wasn't there another.. um.."
"Oh.. Nickers isn't here!" said Angel, "He's.. eh... somewhere else! Bobbie... where's Nicky?"
"My brother Nick is somewhere between here and Hawaii.. right mom?" said BJ, with a confused look.
"Nick's in Amsterdam... back soon.." said Mr. Carter plainly, as if their not knowing where there brother was, was perfectly understandable. Anna, not wanting to pry, asked nothing more.
"Anna! Wanna see my room!" Aaron suddenly said, breaking the silence, "It's so cool!"
"How about tomorrow, all right, hon? Anna, you should get up to your room.. Bobbie, would you take her, please? I can come up later, to talk, if you want.. but for now, maybe you should get settled in.."
"All right. Good night everyone!" said Anna, as she reached down to give the twins another hug, before leaving the room, with BJ.
The two girls walked, side by side, up the wide, winding staircase. Bobbie led Anna into a room, decorated top to bottom in green, full of stuffed toys and beenie babies, with a hardwood floor, which was somewhat strange, to Anna, since the other rooms seemed to be carpeted, once again, she asked no questions and they sat down on the couch opposite the bed and tried to relax.
"So.. where are you going to school?" asked Bobbie.
"Regis Academy," replied Anna, "Yeah, I know it's kinda frumpy, but it's pretty much a cool school"
"Regis... wow! I have a tutor, cause I'd be away from school too much.."
"Oh, really? I suppose that's like going to Regis.. but with a lack of people.. " said Anna, sounding a little amused.
"Guess so! It's pretty tight huh? Like, hardly social.. right?" inquired Bobbie.
"Yeah.. I most of my time burying my head in the books, and the rest of my time dancing or going to classes."
"Classes? What do you take?"
"Everything from singing to art.. keeps me busy.." Anna said, with a smile.
"That's cool.. so, do you listen to a lot of music?"Bobbie asked, folding her hands in her lap
"Um.. not particularly, I'm pretty easily distracted, so whenever I 'do' listen to music, it's on MTV.."
"My brother's kind of that way, easily distracted, I'm way different.. I have to be doing, like, ten things at once, or I'll get bored... so... do you have a boyfriend right now?' asked BJ.
"Me? Hell no!" cried Anna, with a little laugh, "Who would date me?!"
BJ looked at Anna with a shocked look, "God, what sane guy wouldn't! You are so totally pretty!!"
"Yeah," sighed Anna, "As pretty as a whale can be.."
"Whale!?" BJ shrieked, "No way! God, I'd die to look like you! You are 'so' gorgeous!"
"No! 'you' are so gorgeous!" replied Anna, with a stifled giggle.
"No! You are!!" replied Bobbie, with a laugh.
The girls continued in that fashion, as they began hitting each other with pillows, and it was all out pillow fight, which the twins soon realized. They ran into the room and immediately grabbed pillows and began smacking Anna. Mrs. Carter, then, came into the room, "What's going on.. girls?" she said, with amusement in her voice.
"Absolutely nothing, mom.." BJ said, with a smile, as the kids dropped their pillows," Absolutely nothin' at all."
"I expect you both to be on your best behavior," she said, jokingly, "Wouldn't want to start things like, say, pillow fights, what with it being Anna's first day here and all.."
"Of 'course' not." Anna and Bobbie giggled simultaneously, as if they had been friends forever.
Leslie and the twins headed out of the room, and to bed, and Mrs. Carter, sensing that Anna was feeling better about staying with them, went to bed herself.
The next morning, Anna woke up to the sound of singing coming from the other room, it was child like, kind of sweet, and it sounded like a guy. She smiled at the sound of the voice, and quietly got into a long satin robe, and slipped out of her room to find out where it was coming from. As she walked down the hall, she realized that everyone else was already awake, the doors of the rooms were open, and all the beds were made. Anna quietly tiptoed towards the voice, which rang out loud and clear,
"You're the One For Me, You're my Exstacy, you're the one I neeeeed! Yeaahh.... Hey baby love I need a girl like you, but tell me if you feel it tooo..! I'm in delusion....
