"Come on people, we're gonna watch a movie!" I yelled. The only people
who wanted to watch a movie was AJ, Steph, Brian, Angie and me.
"What movie?" Brian asked.
"Scream 2!" AJ said.
"No! We'll save that for after Angie goes to bed." I said.
"Lets watch Ten things I hate about you." Angie said.
"Angie hon, if we watch that movie, I don't want you repeating ANY words
in it."
"OK."
We sat down with Angie on my lap and Brian sitting next to me. AJ and
Steph were on the floor with Steph's head on AJ's chest. Then my cell phone
rang.
"Hello?"
"Hi, LO?"
"How did you get this number?" I growled into the phone. I picked Angie
up and set her on Brian's lap. Then I walked out to the kitchen.
"Jake."
"John, I don't know why Jake gave you this number, but he obviously
didn't tell you that I want nothing to do with you."
"LO look, you're right. I was being an asshole.."
"You can say that again."
"I was an asshole. I love you baby."
"Well that's just to damn bad. I don't love you John. Do me a favor. Don't
ever call me again." I said, then I hung up the phone. Then I picked it back
up and called Rachel.
"Hello?"
"JAKE I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!"
"What did I do?"
"You gave John my damn number!"
"So?"
"So he just called me! I want nothing to do with him! You knew that!"
"LO.." I didn't hear him out, I hung up and walked back to the TV room.
Pissed. And it showed.
"What's wrong Laura?" Steph asked.
"The fucking asshole had the NERVE!" I basically yelled, forgetting that
Angie was in the room.
"Angel, go find Nick, K?" Brian said.
"K." She got up and shut the door on the way out.
"Now, what's wrong?" AJ asked calmly.
"Four letter word. Oh, and he's an asshole!"
"John?" Steph asked
"He called. Guess which dip shit gave him my number?"
"Jake?" Steph said again.
"Yea." Then my phone rang. "Hello?" I yelled.
"Laura is this a good time to call?"
"Sorry Mom, I thought it was someone else."
"O, I can't talk for long, but Rachel called to tell me your coming to
Columbus."
"Yea Mom, two weeks."
"OK, just wanted to make sure."
"I'll give you tickets when I get to Ohio."
"OK. How's Angel?"
"Angie's OK. Angie and Steph say hi and they love you. So does Jenny."
"Tell them I love them too. I better get going. I love you."
"Love you too Mom. Bye."
"Bye." I clicked off my phone. If anyone wanted me, they could page me.
"LO, you OK?" Brian asked
"Fine, lets just watch the movie."
"Angie! Movie time!" Brian yelled. Angie ran in and sat on Brian's lap. I
lay my head on Brian's shoulder and he put his arm around me.
