Membership Information:
  • The National Karate & Kobudo Federation was founded in 1992
  • The NKKF accepts Head Instructors of all major Karate, Taekwon-Do, Jui jitsu, and Kempo styles
  • Head Instructors may register thier School by completing a copy of the Head Instructors Application Blank
  • The Head Instructor does NOT pay a registration fee
  • Upon acceptance a School Charter will be issued (Head Instructors must be at least the rank of first degree Black Belrt or higher)
  • Students will fill out a registration blank and the Head Instructor will mail it along with the student registration fee to the National Headquarters
  • Only Registered Students will be issued I.D. Cards, Certificates, and Patches
  • $15.00 Student Registration fee will be required Yearly (eligible for promotion certification)
  • $50.00 School Charter fee will be charged Yearly to register School as a N.K.K.F. current Member in good standing (Member Certificate Included)
  • $150.00 School Charter Member Package includes:(Teaching Certificate(Head Instructor), Current Rank Certificate(Head Instructor), Membership Certificate(Head Instructor) , Registered School Certificate)

  • INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIP:(for the individual with no school or Association Affiliation)

    $40.00 membership fee upon enrollment, and $15.00 per year member fee, Includes NKKF Membership Certificate, NKKF Member ID. Card NKFF Patch, Monthly News letter, invitation to Training Seminars and Camps.

  • ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP: For the Head Instructor or Association/School that wants to enjoy the Benefits of an International Association with a wealth of knowledge to help them advance, promote, network, and legitimize training.

    $50.00 membership fee yearly receives current NKKF Rank Certificate, NKKF Membership Certificate, NKKF Member I.D.card, NKKF Patch, Monthly News Letter, Invitation to Seminars,Clinics,Annual Camp and TaiKai.

  • CHARTERED MEMBERSHIP: For the Head Instructor Who wants to offer the most for his Association/School and students with certification for his Instructors, School, and all Students with a World Wide Organization

    $150.00 membership fee yearly registers the Association/School Internationaly, the Instructors, the students.This membership allows the Head Instructor full benefits in the NKKF, Receive NKKF Membership Certificate, NKKF Rank Certificate, NKKF Patch, NKKF Teaching Certificate, NKKF Registered School/Dojo Certificate, Personal Invitation to all training with Master Instructors. Rebate on all students enrolled with NKKF. All Students enrolled under the Sensei With the Chartered Membership Plan receive a reduced rate for Individual Memberships.

There are many benefits in joining the NATIONAL KARATE & KOBUDO FEDERATION. Among these are: ______________________________________________________

  • 1. Membership Cards,Rank Certificates,Charters - these are issued to the Head Instructors, Instructors, and Students who have registered with the NKKF. When Head Instructors are promoted, a new membership card shall be furnished free of charge, along with a notice of advancement to all NKKF affiliates in the USA and ABROAD. When a Student is promoted the Head Instructor must send the Student's I.D. Card Number and expiration date with the Diploma/Certificate fee to the National Headquarters with a note stating the date of the student's promotion. NKKF Headquarters shall issue a new card with the change in grade and mail it back with the diploma within 12 to 14 days, via 3rd class Mail. (For 1st class mail ad $2.00 for additional postage)

  • 2. Clinics: Clinics are offered in a number of areas on a variety of topics. Some are on a Members Free, and some are to benefit the individual school and guest instructor.

  • 3. All Head Instructors will be notified by monthly e-mail News letter of all associated events, and informed of all major happenings in the Martial Arts World.

  • 4.Training Camps will be held at various locations by Masters of various styles (ie.karate-do,kobudo,iaido,kendo,jui jitsu,kempo,jodo)

  • 5. Classical Weapons Training: will be offered to all interested Head Instructors in the NKKF

  • 6. Video Tapes: Video Tapes are available to Head Instructors on various styles of Martial Arts and Weapons Arts of Masters and Legends of these ancient arts.

  • 7.Instructors License: NKKF awards several types of Instructor's Licenses to its Instructors (A. Third Class Black Belt Status with membership in NKKF for at least one year,B. Second Class Instructor that has attended minimum of 8 hours of Clinics or Workshops conducted by NKKF Officers, C. First Class Completed Instructors course and attended 8 hours of Instructors Seminars D. Technical is a specialized Licenses this candidate must pass an examination given by the High Dan Board.

  • 8. Head Instructors have complete control over the opperation of their schools and the promotion of their students.

  • 9. Promotions: All Head Instructors and students who receive certification thru NKKF receive Certificates that are recognized Internationally.

  • 10.International Recognition for your School or Dojo.

  • 11.Authority to issue rank with the National Karate & Kobudo Federation (Head Instructor only)

  • 12.Credibility for your School and Students.

  • 13.Annual International Tournament.

  • 14.Annual Awards Banquet

    Question: What styles of Martial Arts are Represented in the NKKF?

    Answer: There are Shito Ryu, Shorin Ryu, Goju Ryu, Ryukyu Kempo, Okinawan Kenpo, Kyokushin kai, Goshin Budo, Jiu Jitsu, Ryu Kyu Kobudo,just to name a few of our traditional division, there is also an open division that supports Tang so Do, Taekwon Do, Hapkido, other electic members at this time.

    Question: If my style of Martial Arts is not represented am I still eligible for membership?

    Answer: Yes, the N.K.K.F. actively accepts and represents independent Martial Artist and Instructors, their schools and associations or programs that are active from other recognized systems.

    Question: What can the N.K.K.F. offer me?

    Answer: the N.K.K.F. offers independence and freedom to be in charge of your own operation, system and personal progress and at the same time gives you the feeling of unity and the support of an International Organization and the recognition that goes with such affiliations. The N.K.K.F. offers continued martial arts education and advancement. You will not only receive the news letter keeping you informed to the happenings, but you will have access to Training Camps, Seminars, Clinics, and Tournaments. In Return if you host events you will have the support of the Organization members in your area.

    Question: Do I have to change my way of Teaching, or the way I run my Business?

    Answer: NO, You can continue to opperate the same way with the same Policies and procedures you do now your School or Dojo can be kept the same as it has always been. However the integrity reflected in your application must be maintained according to the High Standards of the N.K.K.F.

    Question: How do I receive promotions and advance within the N.K.K.F.?

    Answer: All promotions under the Head Instructor's Rank will be done by the Head Instructor of each School, there are Black Belt Promotions held twice a year (Spring training camp & Fall training camp)for the Instructor that wishes to Advance, Although the N.K.K.F. does realize with the high cost of travel that at times this is very difficult, so the Dan Board has agreed to allow High Quality Video Testing in such cases. Details may be obtained by request by members.

    Question: Is it possiable for me to make money by membership in the N.K.K.F.?

    Answer: Yes, by membership to a brotherhood everyone helps each other, when you host an event (tournament,clinic,seminar) your news will be put out on our monthly News Letter for all to see we also publish this event on line for you so you enjoy the best possialbe turnout. In addition if you need help organizing or running your event we have a very competant and expirenced board for this as a member service.

    Question: If I am Promoted within the N.K.K.F. How do I receive my Certificate (Menjo)?

    Answer: After your Promotion has been reviewed by the Dan Board, and processed it will be sent directly to you from the International Director in Japan.

    Question: How do I join the N.K.K.F.?

    Answer: Notify the Headquarters by Email or by mail and an application blank will be sent out to you, or copy the blank from the application page. Fill it in and return it to the Headquarters, address at the top of this page it will be promptly processed. Your Membership credentials package will be sent out within 72 hours after it has been processed. (If additional information is needed you will be notified)
