Burning Flames has been my favorite band since I heard them play Mary
Mary Jumping Up(Originally sang by Seventeen Plus), and Ride your Bicycle. This band has
evolved to an International
Phenominal and will forever be an Antiguan legend.
Carnival in Antigua, to me , without the endless jam
sessions in Lions will not be the same. Carnival
without Flames at Country Pond, and J'Ouvert without
Onyan ,just isn't carnival to me.
This is why I have reserved this section of my web
page just for Burning Flames. Burning Flames
has undergone a series of transformations however,
their music continue to
bring pure ruction in the party. Burning Flames
has a achieved
many things during their career, I only hope that
they continue to grow and provide
nothing but greatness for Antigua.
When I speak of Burning Flames I
not only speak of the music they produce, I speak of
the energy they give to the crowd at their
performances. Far too often this band has not been
given their due respects. It has been far too many times
that their music is only heard years after it was a hit
in the Caribbean. That is why I want to give Flames
the respect they deserve, and in Flames I mean every
person that was ever a member because they contributed
to the essence of Burning Flames.
