Recently, a Danrik class ship was reported attacking civilian craft at Crius (Nav 4). It destroyed all civilian craft at that nav point, then jumped to Nav 171.
CIS ships were sent on an intercept mission to destroy the vehicle. They made several more jumps to Nav 55, where they encountered two of our Medium fighters. They communicated the ships location to HQ, and then began to attack the Danrik. Both CIS ships were destroyed in less than two minutes, and the Danrik pirate ship continued on its course. It was then intercepted again at Nav 73 by four Heavy Fighters and one Destroyer. Sure that they would destroy the Danrik, the CIS pilots decided not to call for reinforcements, a mistake that they would regret. The Danrik quickly destroyed the fighters at that Nav point. They finished off the destroyer with a Hellraiser Torpedo, along with a long burst of laser fire.
They continued to Nav 63, where the encountered 2 Extra-Heavy Fighters, and some civilian craft. The CIS ships quickly called for backup. There was a Jump Gate at Nav 63, which would have taken them one jump from Hades, CIS Headquarters. Intelligence figured that they were smarter than that, and sent all available ships to intercept them at their current position. Unfortunately, the Extra-Heavies were destroyed, allowing the Danrik to jump to Nav 112. Just as the Danrik was about to jump, a Destroyer and two Medium Fighters came in from Nav 109, and held off the Danrik for 3 minutes, before being destroyed. They confirmed that the Danrik was carrying four new, very powerful lasers called Kraven Mk IVs. (These are not yet available in the CCN, but will be soon.) The intruding ship also carried an Advanced Repair Droid, enabling them to repair damage done to their craft.
The ship made the jump to Nav 111, where two Destroyers, two Medium Fighters, and two Light Fighters waited to intercept. The battle lasted for about 10 minutes, giving CIS time to get backup to the nav. The Danrik continued to hold off forces, but now CIS had the nav surrounded. Fighters were continually sent in, while some pirates and civilians occasionally stumbled into the crossfire. The conflict continued for more than two hours before the CIS forces began to wear thin and could not send forces to the nav quick enough. The rogue ship managed to jump away, and CIS gave up the pursuit. The Danrik escaped severely damaged. It was unable to be followed any further, and its destination was unknown. So ended the conflict at Nav 111. Records of total loses are still incomplete. There is currently a 1,000,000 Credit reward to anyone who knows where to find this Danrik. Please e-mail a CIS official if you have any information.
