they will be forgotten

tears are stars
falling into the darkness
forever forgotten
but laying awake

we cannot count our tears
their boundaries
and lines
are blurred and gone

we cannot count the stars
their numbers
and brilliance
are beyond our comprehension

stars are like tears
are like tears are like stars
forgotten in the sky
as tears are erased into the black

daggers of truth
lay amongst the stars
that drop down into
the tears

there is a star
that shines more brightly
than any other
and is the faintest

the brightest is ignored
and will fade away
the tears will slow their falling
and they will be forgotten
