* Use the Materia now * the voice told Angel. She turned, raised the materia and called out a word in another language that somehow she understood. The materia in her hand grew warm and emitted a blinding glow that enveloped her. The history of the Ancients, their ways and the recent crisis that the planet had faced slammed into her mind as Holy revealed the truth to her. Finally Angel understood why the young man had tried to kill her.

When the light faded she saw the person who she had called back from the dead before her, and walked towards them. Behind them Yuffie exclaimed in shock and surprise. "Oh my GAWD . . . . Aeris"

On the altar Aeris looked up, she was wearing the same dress that she had before she was killed and carried her weapon - the Princess Guard staff at her side.

"Cloud, Tifa I am so happy for you." she said walking down towards Tifa, walking next to her Angel felt uneasy, she could feel that someone evil was approaching from above at great speed.

Cloud eyes narrowed suspiciously at Angel when he saw the staff that had knocked him out minutes ago, shimmer and return to sword form. He could not believe that his foe’s sister had brought back their friend.

In a movement almost to fast for him to follow, Angel pushed Aeris away from the altar and raised her sword in time to prevent another long sword from impaling the last Cetra.

She backed away as Sephiroth rose from the position he landed in. "Aeris, go to your friends, I’ll cover you." she said without taking her eyes off her brother. Sephiroth lunged at Aeris, intending to kill but was blocked by his sister’s sword.

On the platform below Cloud ran over to Aeris when she had climbed down the last pillar. "What the hell is going on?" he asked. Aeris shook her head and turned to watch the battle above. "I don’t know." she answered. "Sephiroth should be dead."

The members of the now complete Avalanche watched as Sephiroth attacked his sister and she retaliated, neither gaining an advantage. Sparks flew from the blades and magic attacks were deflected. Sephiroth getting tired with the pointless battle suddenly flew up towards and cast his most powerful limit spell. "Heartless Angel!" he yelled. A dark angel appeared over Cloud and his friends draining them of strength and severely injuring them.

Aeris stood up shakily and shouted. "Great Gospel!" Three angels appeared and healed her friends also creating a shield around them to prevent further injury. "Angel, be careful!" she called.

"Don‚t worry about me Aeris, protect the others." Angel said. She had seen what Sephiroth had done and in her fury unleashed her most powerful attack at him "Fury Strike!!" she yelled. An aura of red light surrounded her, when it had dissipated she ran towards her brother and slashed at him four times.

"Ha, ha, ha, that pitiful attack cannot hurt me. You may have been my equal in the past but now you are nothing but a weak fool."

* Gather together your inner energy and use the power of Holy to defeat him* The voice told Angel *Defeat him, you must as Guardian of the planet you must use Holy to stop him.* Angel thought to the voice in bewilderment. "What do you mean by Guardian of the planet?" feeling her anger rising when Sephiroth tried to hurt the youngest girl in the party below her. Getting no answer, she raised her sword. "That may not have but this attack will." she said in a deadly tone. "HOLY STRIKE!"

Sephiroth looked at his sister in fear, an aura of holy shone from her. Running towards him she slashed out at her brother with all her strength, the power of holy increasing the power of the stroke. Twenty-nine more times she slashed at him and when she finished Sephiroth collapsed on the floor.

Rising from the ground he said. "You may have beaten me now, but I shall return for my revenge!" and although wounded he managed to fly out of the forgotten capital.

"Holy shit!" Cid exclaimed when Sephiroth escaped, his spear held out in front of him when Angel approached.

"What did I just unleash then?" she asked Aeris who was trying hard not to laugh at the look on Clouds‚ face

"You used Holy in your attack, that is your most powerful limit." Aeris replied. "It was not entirely your idea was it?"

"No, I heard a voice telling me to use the holy materia, and I think that you know what it is."

Cloud looked at Cid, all of them knew that Sephiroth could hear a voice, and because she was his sister it stood to reason that she could also be hearing the voice of . . . Jenova.

* The voice you have been hearing is the voice of the planet * The planet said in a voice that everyone could hear. A white light enveloped Angel and the voice continued * You have Holy as a weapon young Cetra, for that is what you now are. As the Guardian of the planet you have the ability to use magic without materia. Touching the materia will give you the knowledge of using that type of magic*

The white light faded, Angel stood on the steps of the altar dressed in pure white, with a new sword and two materia orbs. Cloud noticed that the sword looked to be made out of the same substance that his Ultima weapon was made of. He also noticed that there was a rune, in gold along the hilt.

"What does this mean?" Angel asked Aeris in confusion. Aeris took one of the orbs from her hand.

"We both carry Holy, like me you are a Cetra and we have to save the planet." she replied. "That rune on your sword is in the Cetra language and is the name of your sword. Planets‚ fury!"

"Sephiroth’s sister is on our side?!!?!" Cid exclaimed in shock.

"$£*(*%, and an Ancient!" Barret said looking towards Angel.

"I don’t believe it!" Cloud said with some skepticism.

* The reason I freed Angel from cryogenic suspension was so then she could resurrect Aeris* The planet interrupted * She is the only one powerful enough to do this. Sephiroth did not die when you fought him in the Northern Crater and neither did Jenova. Both she and Aeris are needed to stop them and so are you*

In the stunned silence that followed Vincent walked towards Angel. "I need to ask you, why did you try to kill Hojo?"

"I found out about the Jenova project and what he did to my mother." Angel replied sadly. "I went to confront him over it, which was the biggest mistake of my life, and he shot me with a tranquilizer. Next thing I remember is waking up in the basement of Shin-ra HQ"

"There is something you must know, Hojo is . . ." Red started.

"My father, yes I know and Lucrecia is my mother." she interrupted.

Reeve sat back on his chair, wondering how the others were doing in tracking down Sephiroth’s sister. He was deep in thought when the phone rang. "Reeve, this is Elder Bughan from Cosmo Canyon, there is an emergency!"

"Slow down, what emergency?" Reeve said, getting worried

"Gongaga is burning, you can see the smoke and the glare from the fire from here." came the reply.

"I’ll get on it." he said slamming down the phone and picking up the PHS. Punching in Cloud’s number he yelled through to his secretary. "Pauline, get the Turk’s to investigate Gongaga, tell them I will join them soon!"

"Tifa, so when is the wedding?" Aeris asked to a blushing Tifa.

"How did you find out about that?" She replied.

"Oh, you two were destined for each other, Cait Sith got it wrong in the Temple. Cloud and I were not meant to be together." Aeris told her. "Can I be your bridesmaid?"

"What, sure." Tifa said, startled at Aeris' request.

Cloud, listening to the conversation, blushed and Cid laughed when he saw this. "Cloud, you look like a beet root!"

"I’m confused." Barret stated. "If she is the Guardian of the planet, what is Aeris?" pointing to Angel and scratching his head.

Angel stood there shaking her head. "I don’t know." she stated in still in shock.

"I am a protector of the planet, and before any of you ask what is the difference, the protectors are powerful but the Guardian is the most powerful." Aeris explained.

"That clears everything up." Yuffie commented sarcastically.

"Welcome to the group then." Cloud came over to Angel. "You are a member of Avalanche now." At that moment Cloud’s PHS rang

"Reeve, what is it?" He asked.

Reeve replied. "Pick me up outside of Midgar, Gongaga is burning!"
