Columbia Inferno Following an injury to Andrew Raycroft, Todd Ford was recalled to Toronto leaving Rob Gherson to handle a 3 game series against the Florida Everblades in November of 2006. The Inferno lost all three games, but did gain a point in the last game, a 6-5 Blades win in a shootout. A 5th round, 145th overall pick by Washington in the 2002 NHL entry draft, Gherson played four years of Junior Major hockey with Sarnia and Owen Sound. The Toronto, Ontario, native is on a two way contract with the AHL Toronto Marlies and the ECHL Columbia Inferno for the 2006-07 season. Gherson has appeared in 36 AHL games, most with the Hartford Wolf Pack, where he posted a 20-11-2 record with a 2.69 ERA and a .904 save percentage in the 2005-06 season.
