Sean Fields
Gwinnett Gladiators

A former NCAA goalie with the Boston University Terriers, Sean Fields took the Gladiators into the playoffs in the 2005-06 season. The Gladiators won their game against the Everblades on the night these shots were taken, 5-2.

Gwinett would also eliminate the Blades, winning 3 of 4 games in a best of five series.

“The kid is so mentally tough,” Gwinnett head coach Jeff Pyle said during an interview in the Ginnett Daily Post about Fields. “When he came in here, you saw it last year, he played great. There was never a question of what he could do."

Fields replaced goalie Rick DiPietro as a freshman on the Terriers's team. His collegiate goals-against average was never higher than 2.81 and he saved no less than 90 percent of the shots he faced - meeting the statistical standards for a top-flight goaltender. He won 22 games as a sophomore and 24 as a junior.
