“Ok, so that book basically said, that Resha chooses us and gives us an extra thousand years to live instead of the curse? Cool!” Zac grinned.
“Hm..” Chelsea said. “But what can we do until then?”
“Get out of this fricken house? I want out. I want to go home, and forget all this.” Taylor muttered. “It’s all way too scary and beyond me.”
White filled the room and the three tried to shield their eyes from the brilliance of it all.
They felt the sensation of floating. Zac tried to open his eyes and see what was going on, but the brilliant light was much too bright to see a thing.
Suddenly, the three opened their eyes at the same time.
Where were they? They sat in a room.
The dressing room.
Taylor sat up from the floor. He felt a gentle weight on his throat and reached down.
Where his necklace where the eye and the cat had been, there was a smooth white stone instead. He touched it. Engraved in it was a seated cat, with bright blue eyes.
“what?” Chelsea discovered she had one too, and so did Zac.
”Resha.” Zac said. Chelsea sighed and stood up. She tried to curl out her fangs or make her eyes go cat like. It didn’t happen. It was like she had never had these powers.
“Well, I guess I’ll be off now..” Chelsea muttered. They did not know of her father, who she had killed, of how she had no family, or so she thought..
“You have no family, Chelsea. Where will you go? Without your powers you’re just a lost little 15 year old girl.” Taylor stated sadly.
Chelsea thought about this. No power, no shelter. No nothing.
The door flew open.. Isaac ran in.
“Dammit Taylor!! Zac!! We have a show to put on, I’ve been looking everywhere for you!” Isaac cried. He suddenly noticed Chelsea. “Chelsea! What are you doing in here!! I thought you were watching Jessie and Avery!!!! Oh no!”
Taylor, Chelsea and Zac all looked at each other in bewilderment.
“Y…you know Chelsea?”
Isaac rolled his eyes.
“With a little saucy sister like her” He looked at Chelsea. “How can you forget?!”
“Sister?” Taylor muttered.
”Resha. She fixed it all.” Zac nodded slowly.
Chelsea felt sudden understanding. She had a family now.
Zac suddenly blinked, like he had awoken from a trance.
“ Chel, aren’t you supposed to be baby sitting them? C’mon, get it together!” Zac smacked Chelsea over the head and she defensively threw up her fingers, which no longer morphed into claws.
“Woah! What’s up with you today?” Zac frowned.
“Zac.. today we went and killed..” Chelsea began.
Zac frowned.
“I get it. Stop being so dumb!! You always pretend that you’re possessed or something! Oh!” Zac snickered. Jumping up. “What the hell am I doing in here anyways? We have a show to put on!!”
Chelsea realized that Zac didn’t remember. Perhaps none of them did, except her.
“C’mon Tay!” Zac pulled Taylor up.
“See you later, Chel.” Taylor waved, as he began to exit the dressing room. He paused and turned to look at Chelsea. “ I remember.” He said. “But probably not for very long. Resha doesn’t want it that way.” With that he left.
Chelsea thought about this, rolling it over in her head. Her curse was gone, she had a family.
Chelsea began to think of Resha. She wondered how she could thank the cat..
Chelsea Hanson sat up suddenly.
“What am I doing here?” She frowned. She wondered why she was in Taylor’s dressing room. Wasn’t she supposed to be watching the kids?
‘The kids!!” Chelsea jumped up and began ti scurry out of the room.
Something caused her to pause. Something in the back of her head was summoning her to remember something, but it seemed so long ago.
“It’s probably just to remember to tell Tay to stop wearing tight shirts.. I’ll remember that.”
Chelsea quickly dismissed it and left.
