What’s the weirdest thing you’ve discovered about your new-found fame?
Matt: "Well, first of all, we’re not famous. That’s probably the strangest thing. Uh, I dunno. I was thinking how un-strange it is really. Anything to add to that, Dominic?"
"Um, sorry? Say it again. Sorry, I was miles away."
I repeat the question.
In a strangely similar vein to Matt’s answer, Dom replies, "Well, first of all we haven’t got any."
Matt adds, "The few people we bump into think we’re famous but we’re soooo not. Not even in the slightest."
So you’re not even being recognised, ever?
"Not in the street, but maybe in the venue - when it’s full up! I think we’ve realised that you’ve got to sell a few bloody million records before you’re famous."
"Everyone in France thinks we’re famous." Says Dom with a puzzled expression.
Matt continues: "Yeah it’s really strange. We go over there and get mobbed for autographs and no-one’s heard of us!"
You wait until you get to Japan! Is that something you want to do?
"Yeah, very much."
