Matt continues, alarmingly excited at what is usually a tedious question "Primus! Deftones! Helmet, Limp Bizkit…I think they’re an amalgamation of all American bands over the last eight years. Every song hints towards another band. One song’s Jane’s Addiction, one song’s koRn…"

Matt: "Rage Against the-bloody-Machine are amazing. Jeff Buckley, Tom Waits."

If you were to cover someone else’s song, what would you do?
Matt: "We’ve only done one cover song in the band, when we first started. That was ‘Tourettes’ by Nirvana. That’s the only song that we’ve ever done. We did it about twice. I think if we did a cover song now it would probably be a Primus song, maybe ‘Kalamazoo’, ‘Pork Soda’. You know the album ‘Pork Soda’? Yeah, ‘cos we’ve got a double bass, (proceeds to do a mighty fine impression of a soaring and diving double bass, complete with actions and facial expressions!) or ‘Grace’ by Jeff Buckley.

"No, no…yeah. Well, I haven’t listened to his stuff for a while. I wasn’t too keen on the last album but ‘Grace’, yeah. I try to hit some of the notes."
