You’re Gonna Pay
(Small Town Records 7")

RC5’s namesake, Robb Clark, once fronted the volatile Seattle bands Zipgun, and is now slinging a guitar and leading his own outfit. This four -song debut, recorded by Jack Endino, getrs off to a rumbling start with the swaggering threat of "You’re Gonna Pay" a song that bursts out of the gate swinging, pauses to catch its breath then continues with a crunching assault. "In My Heart" is a raver that owes as much to the Ramones and the New York Dolls.

Over on side two "Get My Way" is a quick raucous temper tantrum, while "Mindfucker" lunges and lurches, with slashing guitars and a stuttering drumbeat, bringing this great single to a stumbling close.

In the Bottle
(My Fat Ass7")

And just as we go to press, here comes another raging slab from these guys. Not much more to say except these four songs rock hard, the guitars are gnarly, there’s one MC5 cover and mine skips at the end so Robb says "well well well" over and over and over again which sounds pretty cool.
