Unsinkable

All the way to the bottom
This magnificent treasure did slip
A journey much further
Was intended for it.

She took the plunge down
and was welcomed with heart
As she slipped away into the darkness,
Where slowly, she comes apart.

Many souls still wonder
Around the jeweled beauty
Unable to make the final passing,
Unsure if they’re really ready.

Remembering the glitz and glamour
That she had to offer
They drift over her floors
They will see no other.

No more light of day
Will ever these eyes see
They’ll stay forever with her
In the depths of the sea.

An eerie feeling surrounds
Her never forgotten tale
And around her dark surroundings,
Where she lies; still, dark, pale.
