CHERIYAMUNDAM ABDUL HAMEED MADANI is a renowned Salafi scholar of Kerala, India. Hailing from a middle class Muslim family of Malabar, he had his education in Arabic and Islamic studies from Madeenathul Uloom Arabic College, Pulikkal, a Salafi learning center in Malabar. Madeenathul Uloom Arabic College is one of the premier Arabic colleges in Kerala, India.
Abdul Hameed Madani is a prolific writer. He edits one of the leading religious weekly called SHABAB sponsored by a Muslim youth movement in Kerala.  He has to his credit many 
books and articles on Islam. Probably the best of his works has been the translation of The Holy Quran into Malayalam, his mother toungue. Hundreds of thousand of copies of this translation have been distributed by Islamic Press, Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
His works are all in Malayalam, the vernacular language of Kerala, India .
