Prior to the aftermath of consequence –
.... there:
........ on the blurred edge of relevancy,
I had only one single year
.... in which to be twenty–four.
........ Indeed, my whim willed me
all eternity in which to loiter
.... eons in which to dawdle,
........ while being twenty-four.
Far too obviously
.... Destiny’s agile momentum
........ swept relentless circumstance,
apprehended eventual verities
.... and successfully left me stranded
........ here in the sixty-fifth year
.... of my astonishment.
