Chris's Concert Reviews
Catch-22 w/Edna's Goldfish and Bithlo something @ DIY Records
AWESOME!!!!!!!! Personal Note: Steve.....Where the hell where you?! I tried callin', but noooooo you wouldn't answer! You missed out! This was an awesome local, small, cool crowd show. The music was great, the atmoshpere cool, and just a concert you walk away from feeling better about the world. I needed a concert like that after the crowd of radio *%#$'s at Slipknot! I must admit we missed the first 2 local bands, mainly becuase we were too busy looking at cd's and just listening to the horriable voice of the "Bithlo" band, from outside. Their music was good, but man Earth Crisis has better vocal abilities! Nest up was Edna's Goldfish who were a very good poppy skap/punk band. The energized the crowd and had them ready for Catch-22. Everyone was dancing and just haveing good time. Finally, Catch-22 was next. After a small intermission, They were on. First thing I noticed....2 member were wearing All Out War shirts, a very hard and very good Hardcore band on Victory Records. Their set was a collection of their best stuff from the first album, plus their 4 new songs. And as a added bonus all the songs were played MUCH faster and harder than the cd! They even played a Hardcore song for the Hardcore kids in the card....Charles and myself of course! They were even better than I thought they would be. I expected a lot and got soooo much better! They have moved up to one of my favorites ska/punk bands right there w/ Link 80 and VGS. So next time they come through, don't be on the computer or sitting at the movies twiddling your thumbs, listen to your good friend Chris....and go this time!
