Growing up in Wishart gave Sarah Stefanson plenty to write about. Since discovering her father’s 12-string guitar and a voice long stifled, she has learned to weave lyrical images into song with a deftness that inspires. Following the release of her debut CD, broken like a starfish, in December of 1998, Sarah has been keeping busy with several high profile performances including: An appearance on the CBC teen talk show, Jonovision, festivals such as Ness Creek, Flatland, Taste of Saskatchewan, and Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan, as well as numerous coffeeshop and bar gigs in Saskatoon, Regina, and Toronto. Sarah’s song "angel" is featured on an All Canadian Indie Box Set produced by Thunder Bay’s Meathead Records. In November, Sarah will be traveling to Australia to introduce her particular brand of alterna-folk to the lovely folks down under. Sarah will be accompanied by Jimmy Ramsay on guitar and vocals at Dancing With Julie.
