Official Press Release
Earlier this year, Julie Rae Stefanson was in a car accident and suffered head trauma that she
could not recover from. In an effort to make something good come of this tragedy, Julie’s family and
friends, collectively referred to as Nosnafets Productions, have put together a hometown
celebration for a good cause. Dancing With Julie ~ A Benefit Concert will take place at the
Wishart Community Hall, Wishart, Saskatchewan, on what would have been Julie’s 18th birthday,
Friday, July 21st, 2000. The all ages concert features Saskatoon and local talent:
Branchala,
Hawaiian Mafia,
Sarah Stefanson, and
Rob & Kirby. (Click on the
names for band bios.) Proceeds from the show will benefit the ICU Nurses Education Fund at the
Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon. Tickets are available in advance at the Bankend
Co-op for $5 and at the door starting at 7:00 p.m. for $7. Another initiative of the concert’s organizers
was to construct a website in Julie’s spirit. Visit the site
to learn more about Julie and the benefit in her name. Nosnafets Productions would like to
acknowledge the generous assistance of their sponsors:
