I made this 47,048 poly model to derive an image map for a real-time friendly yet still aesthetic one (see alongside). This model was the first I have done for the Unreal Tournament Mod, Red Orchestra. While the texturing wasn't difficult the modelling proved a minor hassle.
Since the JPEG photo was so small, I was forced to try some improvising on pen and paper. The process actually helped a lot cos it gave me the chance to fix up the proportions and make everything look right.
