I must admit that lately my models have been less challenging than I enjoy so when I was looking through my database and noticed that I had not yet done a model beginning with the letter 'I', the word 'icecream' came to mind and I knew this wasn't gonna be a "smooth ride". Free form modelling was something that I hadn't done for a while so I enjoyed the chance to get my hands dirting while modelling the icecream itself. The lighting I aimed for was a sunset under a white umbrella. I'm sure that if I wasn't starting the second semester of Industrial Design at uni tomorrow I would have modelled those too. :P The waffle cone was by far the trickiest adversary. I tryed a displacement map to get the pattern but it failed and later when I needed to coil the thing... no comment... Date completed: July 27, 2003 Back           Forward
