Showoff are a cheery quartet of lads whose music is something like Elvis Costello as a circa 1998 Southern-Cali punk/ska teen. The Hippos also work the same new wave territory (hell, a few of these kids may have even been alive in 1980). Imagine Squeeze as a bunch of circa 1998 Southern Cali punk/ska teens. They even do a cover of that "Always Something There to Remind Me" song
