Dig Me Out

This was a great show at the Echo Lounge. I live in Atlanta, but it was the first time I had been to the club. Very very hot once the bands started. The sound was great for everybody. It is just a good sounding club. I had never seen The Gossip before. I don't think it was my thing, but I did really enjoy the singer. She had a lot of energy and a great voice. I also like that she enjoyed her weight. She dedicated a song to all her "fat girls out there".

Sarah's Dougher I had never heard of. If you have any info on them I would like to have it. I was in the mood to see a fast paced rock band that night and didn't really get into them. But, I think under other circumstances I would have enjoyed the music.

Now to Sleater-Kinney. Great Show. I saw them a couple of years back at the Point in Atlanta and they were great, but Corin seemed a little nervous and not real comfortable with her singing (or maybe just being in Atlanta). Not this time. She seems to have adapted to the fact that people love her and embraced it and her fans. She still didn't talk a lot during the songs, but they made up for it with the songs. Carrie is a great guitar player and was great. A lot of energy. And you got love the kicks. I do wish she scream every once in awhile like on the first couple of albums. Janet is always fun to watch. She hits the drums way fuckin' hard. Believe or not, probably my favorite member to watch live. Here are a couple of interesting things that happened during the show. During "All Hands on the Bad One" the singer from the Gossip came out, danced, grabbed her gut a lot, and sang All Hands On the Fat One. After a couple of times singing that, Carrie and Corin were singing Fat One as well. Pretty Funny. The Gossip's Singer also came out during the encore and did a great job singing most of Good Things. She really does have a great voice. During "Dig Me Out" There were probably a few too many people on stage with them and Corin's Cord got pulled. But they finished the song and we hauled ass out of there. It was just to fucking hot for meet and greet.
