I don't know what possessed me to do this but it's the first time I've used bones in one of my models. I wired up each finger so that they could be flexed individually. After Rigging, I then used the Skin Modifier to assign the actual bone structure to the mesh. A fairly time consuming process but nonetheless very rewarding.
