The meeting was called to order by President Karen Beel at 7:00 p.m. at Hawthorne in Rancho Bernardo.
The pledge of Allegiance was lead by Jack Perkins.
- Visitors: Phil Kincaid from Coronado. Phil has a '30 Model A Coupe. Russ Tanner and Sharon Prince from Rancho Bernardo. Russ and Sharon have a '30 Model A. Greg Weidle was visiting from Orlando, Florida.
- Sick List: Barbara Johnson passed away at the end of July. Barbara was an old member. There will be a private ceremony. Please feel free to send a card or call Steve.
- Secretary's Report: No additions or corrections were made to the minutes. Motion was made by Fred Spector to accept the minutes as written and seconded by Dorothy Allen. Motion carried.
- Treasurer's Report: Jerry Moles gave the Treasurer's Report. The bills were presented for payment. Motion to accept was made by Sally Sheridan and seconded by K.C. Cotton. Motion was carried.
- Tour Coordinator's Report: Upcoming tours were discussed. If you are interested in being tour leader for any short tours, please contact Larry Beel. The tour schedule is in the Reflector. Do not forget to send information to Lisa Morgosh if you lead a tour.
- Reflector Editor's Report: Extra copies of the Reflector were available at the front.
- Southern CA Rep Report: John Frazee announced that only 20 people are registered for the Meet in Temecula in October. The Palomar A's are in charge of a sack lunch. John will take care of this, but may need some help passing them out. Contact John if you will be available. If you registered at the Riverside convention, you will be getting a check back. They ended up with a large profit. John is selling raffle tickets for the Dallas Membership Meet. They will be raffling a car trailer. Tickets are $5.00 each or five for $20.00. See John for tickets.
- Vice President: Barry Martin announced that he had patches, pins, hats and posters for sale.
- Technical Director's Report: Gordon Oviatt made pamplets and had them available at the meeting for doing a 12-volt conversion.
- Membership: No report.
- Public Relations: Linda Thamer said that there was an article in the North County Times.
- Correspondence: Newsletters from other clubs were available at the front table for anyone to read.
- New Business: Dave and Roseanne Kiss donated Palomar A's business cards. The cards were available at the meeting. The raffle made an additional profit of $200 after recouping the money from buying tools for the Riverside Convention. Larry Beel announced that there is a '31 Cabriolet for sale for $15,000. Call Larry for information.
- Old Business: Karen thanked Gordon for arranging the Optimist Club for the July meeting. She also thanked Clyde for having us at Hawthorne for the August meeting.
- Raffle: The raffle was held. The grand prizes for this month went to Larry Beel and Bob Olivari.
- Refreshments: Refreshments were served in the building cafeteria.
Having no further business, the meeting adjourned at 8:18 p.m.
