ABOUT US

After many years of building and launching Estes rockets, founding members Andrew Nelles and

Brad Go decided to build and sell kits they had designed, thus Alpha Max Rocketry was born.

Working on AMR in our free time, our first design was created on April 6th 2002. This was named

the XAM-1A. XAM, an acronym for eXperimental Alpha Max, 1 since it was our first design, and A

since it had not been revised (1st revision would be XAM-1B). Our kits are exceptional due to the

fact that they are made of common household items, such as gift wrap tubes and toilet paper rolls.

Also, are rockets are designed to use common Estes brand engines. Most or our rockets only

require basic tools, but they are recommended for people who have had significant experience

in building rockets.
