Directions for assembling the Forklift model.

  This note assumes that you're already familiar with LDraw.  If you're
  not, you may want to refer to the LDraw information page at

Introduction

  Assembling the model is easy.  First, assemble the submodels prefixed
  with "FFF-".  Then, assemble the submodels prefixed with "FF-", using
  some of the submodels you've already completed.  Next, make the
  submodels prefixed with "F-", and finally the "FORKLIFT.DAT".


Description of the files

  Unofficial parts

    Some unofficial parts are included to complete the model.  You
    should not mix these with your official parts in \PARTS, or you may
    clutter up your LDraw directories.  This is a list of the unofficial
    parts included:

      2853.DAT Technic Crankshaft
      3711.DAT Technic Link Chain
      3736.DAT Technic Pulley Large
      3873.DAT Technic Link Tread


  3rd level submodels

    FFF-FORK.DAT
      Forks.  Make two of this.


  2nd level submodels

    FF-BOOM.DAT
      Booms.   Make two of this.
    
    FF-CHAIN.DAT
      The chain links and tread links you need to pull the forks up and
      down.  You need 43 chain links and 2 wide tread links.

    FF-FORKS.DAT
      The fork assembly.  Make one of this.

    FF-SPOOL.DAT
      The axle with a gear on to use at the top of the boom.  Make one
      of this.


  1st level submodels

    F-BOOM.DAT
      Boom assembly, including forks.  Make one of this.

    F-FRAME.DAT
      Frames that hold together the body of the vehicle.  Make two of
      this.

    F-SEAT.DAT
      Driver's seat.  Make one of this.    

    F-STEER.DAT
      Parts of the steering gear train.  Make one of this.

    F-SUSPEN.DAT
      Parts of the rear wheel suspension.  Make two of this.

    F-TANKS.DAT
      Gas tanks for the rear of the vehicle.  Make one of this.


  Main model

    FORKLIFT.DAT
      When you've reached this point, the model is completed.
