Water Conditions: pH: 6.0-7.0. dH: 5.0-16.0. Temp: 23-27°C.
Although can adapt to slighly harder water.
Size: These grow pretty large (some sources say up to 1m) but are relatively slow growing.
Food: They eat pretty much everything, mine likes meaty foods such as mussel and prawn as well as cucumber and the usual wafers and pellets.
Temperament: Can be bossy and with their rough, spiny armour may do damage to some sensitive-skinned species in a fight.
