Origin and Water Conditions: They are believed to be Asian so similar parameters to the Giant Gourami would probably be suitable. They currently live in the local hard water (pH: 8, gH: 14)
Size: They are getting big quickly so I think they will get pretty large in the end.
Food: They eat everything - plenty of lettuce as well as cichlid sticks (put in for the Oscar which they sometimes beat to the food) and frozen meatier foods.
Temperament: They are very boistrous but can be skittish. They exhibit spawning behaviour if the water level is dropped and the current increased (then a cool water change). I hope to attempt to spawn them in their own tank soon.
It is very difficult to catch them still to take a photo so I apologise for the blurred effect. I have no idea what their scientific name is.
